Mi name is Jesús Reolid, PhD in Geology by the University of Hamburg (Germany). Currently I have a postdoc position at Universidad de Granada (Spain).
My research focuses in carbonate sedimentology with special interest in carbonate platform slope deposits and processes, ichnology of pelagic materials in core section and outcrop, and sedimentology and paleontology of carbonate drifts.
I have joined research cruises on board research vessels as the RV Meteor (Bahamas, 2013), RV Sonne (Maldives, 2014), RV Alkor (Baltic Sea, 2018), and as sedimentologist of the ECORD (European Consortium for Ocean Research Drilling) in IODP Expedition 359 on board the Joides Resolution (Maldives, 2015).
Complementary to my mayor research, I also study vertebrate fossils and work as paleoillustrator for books, videos, and museums as the Geology Museum of the University of Hamburg (Germany) or Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias de Valencia (Spain).
